Mikey “The Jedi” Roddriguez
Jimmy tells a blind person joke to set the story of how Mikey and Master Valdez first met.
Mikey joins Jimmy and Chance on the show and shares his experiences of being bullied, to joining martial arts behind his mom’ back, to becoming a state champion. He shares the story about the famous hat he wears at all martial arts tournaments and the story of the man who gave him the hat.
Mikey finds out that Chance’s mom was his middle school teacher and shares how it was the teachers in his life that helped keep him out of trouble.
The guys discuss how martial arts helped Mikey in his law enforcement job and how he even got into law enforcement.

Chance is a 8th degree black belt in American Karate and is the Chief Instructor and Co-founder of Legends Martial Arts Inc. Since the age of five, Chance was trained by his father Grandmaster J. Pat Burleson. Grandmaster Burleson was the first United States Karate Champion in 1964.
